DESCRIPTION:YYC World Autism Acceptance Day is April 2!\n\nYYC World Autism Awareness (& Acceptance) Day (YYC WAAD) in Calgary has grown to be the largest of its kind in Canada! 2024 marks the 11th annual celebration and we are excited to celebrate\, raise awareness and promote acceptance everywhere. The event is free for all ages\, and you are invited!\n\nHosted by Autism Calgary and Autism Aspergers Friendship Society (AAFS) Calgary\, this event brings together local leading autism- and disability-serving agencies and educational organizations\, all onsite showcasing their programs and services.\n\nYou can expect food trucks\, facing painting\, an art station\, and performers on the spectrum during the event. Our Facilitators will focus on helping you where you most need support\, including the following areas: \n\nCreating a more effective resume and cover letter\nlearning and practicing interview techniques\njob search strategies\nand more!\n\nReceive up to 30 minutes of personalized guidance and learn more about how to successfully navigate the job search journey and the world of work. Support availability is limited and is on a “first come\, first served” basis. \nOur goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where neurodivergent individuals can access resources\, gain valuable insights\, and enhance their employability\, confidence\, and career prospects. \nAbout our Facilitators:  \nMeet the Sinneave Employment Team: Sherry\, Marcela and Ryan.
