DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in learning more about all the stages of the employment journey and the steps you can take to lead you on a path to success? We offer a series of workshops that cover many topics related to finding a job\, keeping a job\, and thriving in the workplace.  \n\n\n\nIn our next Employment Classroom\, participants will learn all about paycheques\, how to plan a budget\, and how to avoid scams. \n\n\n\nAttendees will learn: \n\n\n\n\nThe skills to manage your personal income\, expenses and budget\n\n\n\nThe basic tools that people need in their financial toolkit\n\n\n\nThe difference between needs and wants when it comes to your personal finances\n\n\n\nTo identify gross income from sources and deductions\n\n\n\nTo adjust a personal budget to allow you to achieve a simple goal\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, March 1110:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.In-person at The Ability Hub (300\, 3820 24 Avenue NW) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop combines classroom instruction and time to practice what you’ve learned with support from the facilitators\, if needed. Attendees to these workshops must be able to participate independently. \n\n\n\nPlease note: These classes are limited to 12 attendees. Registration is on a first-come\, first-served basis. DESCRIPTION:Discover how to travel confidently and safely on Calgary Transit!  \n\n\n\nIn this interactive session with Calgary Transit Access Travel Trainers and Peace Officers\, you’ll learn what Travel Training is and how it helps riders navigate buses and CTrains with independence and ease.  \n\n\n\nWhether you’re new to Calgary Transit or looking to build your confidence\, this session is designed to empower you with the skills and knowledge you need to travel the city safely. \n\n\n\nBy the end of this activity\, participants will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nUnderstand what Travel Training is and how it supports safe\, independent use of Calgary Transit\n\n\n\nIdentify key transit safety practices\, including how to stay safe on buses\, CTrains\, and at transit stops\n\n\n\nLearn basic transit skills\, such as boarding a bus\, recognizing priority seating\, and understanding transit signage\n\n\n\nBuild confidence in navigating Calgary Transit\, including planning routes and knowing what to do in unexpected situations\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, March 111:00 – 2:00 p.m.In-person at The Ability Hub (300\, 3820 24 Ave NW) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend this session\, however\, space is limited and registration is required via Sinneave Connects. \n\n\n\nIf you already have a Sinneave Connects account\, just log in as usual.
