We have several rooms and spaces available–a quiet lounge\, computer desks\, hang out sofas–you choose. It’s your time to use your way. \n\n\n\nOur space provides flexible seating options\, focus tools\, and adjustable lighting options as we strive to make our space more welcoming and inclusive to those who wish to spend time in it. \n\n\n\nOur drop-in hours are 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHere are some suggestions of things you may like to do\, but this is not an exhaustive list: \n\n\n\n\nSocializing: Chat with others\, make new connections\, or catch up with friends\n\n\n\nUsing Computers: Access  the internet\, complete personal tasks\, or explore hobbies online. DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to be partnering with the Centre for Sexuality on a new initiative that adapts the Centre’s Relationship & Sexual Health program for Autistic adults. This program has provided vital information to youth about sexual health and healthy relationships. We are excited to be adapting this program for adults with autism to bring this information to you. \n\n\n\nPresented in a welcoming and inclusive space\, through a neuroaffirming lens\, these interactive workshops present an opportunity to learn about the hallmarks of healthy relationships in a safe space. These workshops start Tuesday\, October 14 and continue weekly for eight weeks. In this session\, we’ll talk about understanding the different forms of electronic communication that people use to connect with each other. We will also discuss strategies for navigating electronic communication\, understanding safety protocols\, and boundaries when communicating electronically.  \n\n\n\nThis session is one of several drop-in workshops we offer that are designed to provide Autistic and neurodivergent individuals opportunities to learn and practice essential social communication skills in a safe and welcoming setting. Each 90-minute workshop covers a different aspect of social communication\, providing information\, tips and strategies intended to help in day-to-day social situations. DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to be partnering with the Centre for Sexuality on a new initiative that adapts the Centre’s Relationship & Sexual Health program for Autistic adults. This program has provided vital information to youth about sexual health and healthy relationships. We are excited to be adapting this program for adults with autism to bring this information to you. \n\n\n\nPresented in a welcoming and inclusive space\, through a neuroaffirming lens\, these interactive workshops present an opportunity to learn about the hallmarks of healthy relationships in a safe space. These workshops start Tuesday\, October 14 and continue weekly for eight weeks. SUMMARY:Your Time\, Your Way
DESCRIPTION:Many individuals can benefit from what is often referred to as a “third space”—a place separate from home or work or school where there is no obligation to spend money on food or beverages. So we’re opening our doors to members of our community. \n\n\n\nWe invite you to drop in and use our space to help you unwind or recharge—with no pressure to engage in structured activities. We have several rooms and spaces available–a quiet lounge\, computer desks\, hang out sofas–you choose. It’s your time to use your way. \n\n\n\nOur space provides flexible seating options\, focus tools\, and adjustable lighting options as we strive to make our space more welcoming and inclusive to those who wish to spend time in it. \n\n\n\nOur drop-in hours are 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHere are some suggestions of things you may like to do\, but this is not an exhaustive list: \n\n\n\n\nSocializing: Chat with others\, make new connections\, or catch up with friends\n\n\n\nUsing Computers: Access  the internet\, complete personal tasks\, or explore hobbies online. Use our computers and wifi or bring your own device and connect via our network\n\n\n\nRelaxing: Sit quietly\, read\, listen to music with headphones\, or just enjoy the calm space\n\n\n\nIndependent Work: Bring personal projects\, homework or studying you may need to do\, or use the time to focus on tasks\n\n\n\nUnstructured Activities: puzzles\, sketching\, journaling\, or engaging in other personal hobbies\n\n\n\nExploring Resources: Learn about other programs\, events\, or services Sinneave offers\n\n\n\nSimply Being: Spend time in the space without any specific activity\, just enjoying the presence of others without any expectations to engage\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo ensure a welcoming and safe space for all users\, please read over the Rules of the Space before you arrive: \n\n\n\n\nCheck-In is Required: Everyone signs in upon arrival\n\n\n\nNo Alcohol or Drugs: This is a substance-free space for everyone’s safety and comfort\n\n\n\nRespectful Content and Behavior: No engagement with explicit content and all interactions should be respectful\n\n\n\nNoise Levels: Keep volume moderate to accommodate diverse activities\n\n\n\nNo formal supervision provided: Attend and engage independently

SUMMARY:Supporting Healthy Relationships: Participant Workshop 
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to be partnering with the Centre for Sexuality on a new initiative that adapts the Centre’s Relationship & Sexual Health program for Autistic adults. This program has provided vital information to youth about sexual health and healthy relationships. We are excited to be adapting this program for adults with autism to bring this information to you. \n\n\n\nPresented in a welcoming and inclusive space\, through a neuroaffirming lens\, these interactive workshops present an opportunity to learn about the hallmarks of healthy relationships in a safe space. These workshops start Tuesday\, October 14 and continue weekly for eight weeks. You can sign up for all the sessions\, or just the ones that interest you. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe schedule for these workshops is as follows: \n\n\n\n\nIdentity: Owning your story\, supporting others (October 14)\n\n\n\nMind Matters: Self-concept and relationship skills (October 21)\n\n\n\nBoundaries: Holding your own with confidence (October 28)\n\n\n\nConsent: Yes\, no\, and everything in between (November 4)\n\n\n\nRelationships: Healthy vs. harmful and what it means for you (November 13)\n\n\n\nDating: Decoding signals and signs (November 18)\n\n\n\nOnline Dating: Behind the screen (November 25) \n\n\n\nSexual Health: Talking and testing (December 2)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring this two-hour hybrid workshop (with breaks)\, Autistic adults will also have an opportunity to discuss: \n\n\n\n• Strategies for addressing and supporting common relationship challenges • Sexual health resources• Open discussion and Q&A opportunities \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTuesday\, November 4\, 20255:30 – 7:30 p.m.In-Person at The Ability Hub (300\, 3820 24 Avenue NW) and Online via Microsoft Teams \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP for this workshop by clicking on the button that says\, “RSVP” and let the organizers know if you will be attending in-person or online.   \n\n\n\n\nRSVP

DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in learning more about all the stages of the employment journey and the steps you can take to lead you on a path to success? We are offering a series of workshops that cover many topics related to finding a job\, keeping a job\, and thriving in the workplace.  \n\n\n\nJoin us Wednesday\, November 5\, to learn how to write an effective resume and compelling cover letter. \n\n\n\n\nLearn about the purpose of a resume and cover letter and\,\n\n\n\nWhat to include in each of these documents so you are successful in your job search journey.\n\n\n\n\nThe workshop combines classroom instruction and time to practice what you’ve learned with support from the facilitators\, if needed. SUMMARY:Social Communication Workshop: Handling Disagreements and Keeping Your Cool
DESCRIPTION:Do you find it difficult to communicate when someone disagrees with you? In this workshop\, we will talk about conflict and share tips to help you keep your cool when you are in the middle of a disagreement\, as well as provide strategies to help you work through it. \n\n\n\nThis is one of several workshops designed to provide Autistic and neurodivergent individuals opportunities to learn and practice essential social communication skills in a safe and welcoming setting. Each 90-minute workshop covers a different aspect of social communication\, providing information\, tips and strategies intended to help in day-to-day social situations. \n\n\n\nWednesday\, November 5\, 20255:00 – 6:30 p.m.Online via Sinneave Connects \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend these sessions. If you register in advance you’ll be notified of any last minute  changes to the schedule\, but you can also just drop-in.
