Each month we spotlight an AIDE Canada resource that ties into the work we do here at Sinneave.

In recognition of Mother’s Day, this month’s AIDE resource is the webinar “Building Resilience: Recognizing and Combating Compassion Fatigue.”

While mothers are often the primary caregiver, we know that caregivers come in many forms. We invite you to share this resource with anyone who is giving his or her time to support another. The webinar offers insights for caregivers on the signs of burnout and compassion fatigue, plus great ideas on self-care and building resilience.

You can access the AIDE Canada webinar here.

Sinneave offers a six-session workshop entitled, “Caring for the Caregiver.” It is designed to help parents and other caregivers of neurodiverse individuals. The workshop is based on strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), which is an evidence-based intervention to help alleviate a variety of life challenges. It’s important to note that research to date demonstrates that participants of ACT workshops experience fewer symptoms of depression and stress, as well as improved physical health.
