On October 23, families from the Aspires Housing Committee gathered at The National for an evening of bowling and socializing.
There were over 40 participants who came out to the event–the kids had fun bowling as their parents talked and mingled. Developing friendships and greater social comfort is a large part of successful independent living for adults with ASD, and social events have become a popular and inportant part of the Aspires long term housing strategy. Planning is in progress for a pre-Christmas pot-luck.
