The Aspires Housing group had a successful BBQ potluck on Sunday, June 25th. There were about 40 families and individuals present and it was hosted in the Little Somethin’ Café in the lobby of the Child Development Centre.
A brief business update included the Horizon, Monarch initiative in Glamorgan where 15 units have been made available. Monarch has begun contacting the families on a list of 24 who are interested. There was also an update on the Sisters of Charity initiative outlining the efforts of March of Dimes Canada in preparing a feasibility study and launching a subsequent fund raising campaign.
Thanks were expressed to the Bonnie, Richard, Lorraine and John for organizing the event and to The Sinneave Family Foundation who provided the space and the hamburgers.
