Autism Community COVID-19 Response Fund Announcement

Autism Community COVID-19 Response Fund

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in recognition of April as Autism Awareness Month, The Sinneave Family Foundation and its Board of Directors have repurposed the Directors Award as well as a portion of 2020 operating dollars previously allocated to support large group events to establish an Autism Community COVID-19 Response Fund.

This fund is intended to directly support the immediate needs of autistic adolescents and adults, and foster community collaboration by assisting autism serving non-profits to support autistic individuals and their families during this unprecedented and challenging time.

For individuals and their families:

  • Individuals on the autism spectrum 15 years and older (or their families) in Alberta are eligible to apply for a one-time $200 financial grant. Up to 100 grants of $200 each will be awarded.

For autism serving agencies:

  • Qualified non-profit organizations in Calgary and the surrounding area are eligible to apply for a one-time grant of up to $15,000 to assist in providing direct services that support the well-being and mental health of autistic adolescents and adults, and their families during this time.
