What do you feel makes an inclusive, welcoming and supportive work environment for autistic workers?
We invite autistic adults who are working, or who have work experience, to share their input on the Autistic Inclusive Workplaces Survey. The survey will take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
Survey Link: https://bit.ly/2VMchMx The survey closes on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020.
Is there an incentive to complete the survey?
Once you have completed and submitted the survey, you will have the option to enter a draw to win one of three $50 gift cards for Amazon. Your entry for the gift card draw is NOT connected to your survey responses. The link at the end of the survey takes you to a separate platform to enter your name and contact details. Winners will be notified in early June 2020.
Who is conducting this survey and why?
The Sinneave Family Foundation (Sinneave) in Alberta is developing a resource guide from a first-person perspective to support employers to create inclusive work environments for autistic adults in Canada. This project is led by an autistic person.
The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Collaboration in Autism (CIRCA) at the University of British Columbia is developing a series of free on-line modules on autism to train human resource (HR) professionals and employers to improve access and acceptance for autistic individuals in all work environments. The CIRCA project is led by a neurotypical person and is guided by an advisory committee which includes autistic persons.
The results from the Autistic Inclusive Workplaces Survey will inform the development of both the Sinneave resource guide and the CIRCA on-line training modules.
