CAHS Community Conversations on Autism | April 30, 2021

The Canadian Academy of Health Sciences is seeking input from Autistic people, families and others. You can get involved by joining a community conversation on autism, or taking a survey and participating in discussion forums at the engagement hub.

Throughout May the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences is hosting a series of community conversations on autism as part of its assessment on autism. This assessment will be used by policy makers considering the development of a National Autism Strategy.

An important part of this assessment is input from Autistic people, family members and other supporters including service providers and organizations. There are three ways to participate:

  • Join a community conversation on autism to talk about how to improve services and foster inclusion. Twenty conversations are happening in English and French until May 13.  See the list of sessions and register here.
  • Take a survey or join a discussion forum at the engagement hub. The hub is designed for individuals, including Autistic people, family members and others, and is open in English and French until May 31.
  • Organizations can make a written submission in English or French before May 31.
