You’re invited! The Post-Secondary Accessibility and Disability Resource Association (PADRA) is hosting its
Calgary Transition to Post-Secondary Education Resource Fair.
Mark your calendar:
Saturday, March 2, 2023
St. Mary’s University (14500 Bannister Road SE)
Room M100 – McGivney Hall (there is free, accessible parking near the entrance)
Whether you are a high school student, an adult with a disability, a parent of a student with a disability, a teacher or school guidance counsellor, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about post-secondary education options for students experiencing disabilities.
Presentations begin at 1:00 p.m. and topics include:
- Connecting with Accessibility Services
- Accessing academic accommodations
- Examples of academic accommodations and required documentation
- Additional supports, services and resources
- Grant funding information
Hear from current post-secondary students about their experiences with using academic accommodations and have an opportunity to ask questions.
There will be a number of local post-secondary institutions and community organizations in attendance (including us!) to answer your questions and tell you more about their programs and services.
If your student is considering post-secondary education after high school, or if you’re an adult considering starting on your post-secondary journey, this is a great way to examine some options all in the same place.
Please refer to this campus map for directions to McGivney Hall.
