Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorders Alliance – Canadian Austism Leadership Summit: Ottawa – April 18-19, 2016

The Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorders Alliance (CASDA) is seeking informative, relevant and inspiring presentations that showcase promising practices in research, programs and/or services serving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Presentations should reflect innovative ASD related research, programs and/or services across lifespan that were identified as priority service needs in Autism in Canada, National Needs Assessment Survey:

For Preschoolers: Early intervention, Early IBI, Social skills programs, Activity-based programs, Daycare/preschool programs.

For School Age Children: Social skills programs, Activity-based programs, Recreation programs, Specialized summer programs, Life skills training.

For Adults with ASD: Employment of day programs, Social skills programs, Life skills training, Recreation programs, Post-secondary educational programs.

For Self-Advocates: Mental health treatment, Employment services, Social skills, Post-secondary education, Housing/residential options.

Priority will be given to promising practices in research, programs, and/or services serving with a collaborative impact component.

Format: Panel format – 15 minute presentation by each panelist followed by a Q and A.

Session Language: Bilingual. Any presenter utilizing power point presentation must make their slides available in English and French.

Please submit a short bio, 100 word summary and a 1 page abstract of your presenation by 5pm MST on Friday, December 18th, 2015 to alonsberry@theabilityhub.org
