The 5th Canadian Autism Leadership Summit was held on April 2nd and 3rd in Ottawa, Ontario. Over 180 stakeholders from Canada’s autism community had the chance to network with each other and learn from a diverse range of panelists. Sinneave was a sponsor of the event. At the end of the first day of the Summit, Tanya McLeod, President of Sinneave, provided closing remarks and on second day, Sinneave participated in the poster session.
A particular highlight of the Summit was the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorders Alliance (CASDA) launch of a detailed blueprint for a National Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Strategy; calling on the federal government to take a leadership role in supporting Autistic Canadians, as well as their families and caregivers.
