We’re pleased to announce the EmploymentWorks Self-Paced eLearning course is now available in both English and en Français!
Designed for autistics and neurodiverse individuals, this online course provides easy access to valuable employment preparedness training for those who enjoy the flexibility and convenience of learning at their own pace and schedule. It transforms the proven EmploymentWorks curriculum into a highly engaging eLearning experience, offering a new way for autistic youth, adults and persons with disabilities to develop and practice the essential skills needed to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment.
EmploymentWorks Self-Paced Program Description:
- 12-Module eLearning course that focuses on “Preparing for Work, Getting Work, Keeping Work and Thriving at Work.” Learners can complete the course content according to their preferred schedule, and at a pace that best supports their learning, development and retention.
- Content includes tools, resources and strategies to help learners identify employment goals, develop and practice employment relevant skills, and build confidence to be successful in a workplace setting.
- Dedicated program staff available to provide guidance and support to learners if needed.
- Optional online group-based drop-in sessions to review and discuss course topics and ask questions.
- Optional 1:1 sessions to receive job seeking support.
- Ongoing access to monthly group-based discussions on employment-related topics.
The online format and user-friendly design makes this new employment preparedness training tool highly accessible to all Canadians by removing barriers to programming related to geographical location, access to transportation, or fixed program schedules. All that is required to participate is access to a computer, tablet, or mobile device, and a reliable internet connection.
