Housing and Supports in Alberta: Tell us who you are and what you are looking for!
The Sinneave Family Foundation (Sinneave) works to remove barriers and enhance opportunities that help autistic youth and adults to live, learn, work and thrive in their communities.
In the past few years, we have had significant success supporting autistic adults to live as independently as possible by facilitating collaborations with autism service providers (Monarch House, Autism Asperger’s Friendship Society and Autism Calgary) and affordable housing providers (Horizon Housing, HomeSpace and Forward Housing). You can learn more about these collaborations on Sinneave’s Housing Opportunities in Alberta webpage.
Sinneave has also focused on developing and collecting online resources focused on Housing and Supports in Alberta. Recently we published a Thinking About Moving Guide that shares key learnings from our work. The guide is primarily focused on renters of affordable housing who may benefit from light support.
The Housing and Supports Team would like to hear from you to better understand what are the priority housing needs for autistic adults in Alberta, and what additional online resources would be most helpful to you.
Please take a couple of minutes and tell us about your housing needs and information interests. Your input will help us to prioritize our next activities. Your responses are completely confidential and will be used to help develop a clearer picture of needs across the Province. You will only be contacted if you request that a member of our Housing and Supports team to contact you and provide an email.
We hope you will visit our Housing and Supports webpages frequently as we continue to add new content regularly.
