Ask – Listen – Act continues to inspire our work this year, with an intentional focus on Actions anyone and everyone can take that create opportunities for autistic and neurodiverse people to feel accepted and thrive in their communities.

Neurodiversity refers to the natural differences in how people think, learn, communicate, and experience the world. Within our organization, we are discussing how individually and collectively we can celebrate differences, and promote understanding, safety, and belonging. This initiative is the beginning of many activities that our messages will inform over the coming months and years.

We have gathered input from Albertans with lived experience, allies, and Sinneave staff to give us a variety of perspectives to start with. Recently, we established a working group that includes autistic advisors, parents of neurodiverse adults, and professionals working in the field who are developing key messages with concrete actions that people can take to be inclusive. The group is making progress, and this month we are inviting others to join the conversation to help refine the messages and calls to action.

Clicking on the button below will direct you to a short, anonymous survey where you can easily share what neurodiversity and inclusion mean to you. With the results of your collective input, we will create a Word Cloud to amplify Neurodiversity Celebration Week and continue to adapt our messaging to reflect your responses.
