Autism Campus Prep and EmploymentWorks Virtual are two new online courses available this summer.
Autism Campus Prep (ACP) is a free online post-secondary preparedness course, hosted on AIDE Canada, for individuals on the autism spectrum who are looking to enroll in post-secondary and would like a better understanding of the academic and non-academic changes they may encounter and how to plan for life after graduation.
EmploymentWorks Virtual is an employment preparedness program for adults who are on the autism spectrum or neurodiverse. Participants attend 3 hour sessions five times a week (for 4 weeks) where they will have the opportunity to learn:
Structured Learning: focused on career exploration, employment readiness and soft skills development. The opportunity to connect with peers and other community supports.
Virtual Job Simulations: Participants will have the opportunity to take part in several highly interactive virtual job simulations that replicate real world work environments and tasks.
All participants will also gain access to Linkedin Learning and 1000’s of professionally lead courses.
