There are growing numbers of people with disabilities who are entering postsecondary education. In 2014, there were 1/68 individuals with autism graduating from high school. How can we make the transition process to postsecondary education work for all parties involved?
This is a needs assessment concerning students with disabilities and their related social skill challenges, who are transitioning to postsecondary education. This includes individuals with Autism, ADHD, PDD, Social Anxiety Disorder, Personality Disorder and Learning Disabilities. Parents, students, educators, support agencies and employers are invited to attend this event. This gathering will include: food, speakers and breakout tables.
At the breakout tables we need to hear feedback from parents, students, educators, support services and employers about their experience with this transition process.
