EmploymentWorks is a one-to-one employment support service for Autistic people, neurodivergent people, and people with disabilities who want help finding and keeping meaningful work.

Through individualized planning and ongoing support, participants work with an EmploymentWorks facilitator to build skills, explore job options, and move toward employment.

  • One-to-one support from an EmploymentWorks facilitator
  • Development of an Individualized Employment Action Plan
  • Support with resume development, applications, and interview preparation
  • Guided job search planning and ongoing employment support
  • Group-based learning sessions focused on employment readiness and shared learning with peers (as available)
  • Job sampling opportunities to explore different roles, build skills, and gain real-world work experience
  • Job sampling allows participants to try out a job or workplace for a short period of time to better understand their interests, strengths, and support needs before committing to ongoing employment.
  • Support transitioning from job sampling or work experience into paid employment

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • Are 15 years or older
  • Self-identify as Autistic, neurodivergent, or as having a disability
  • Are highly motivated to find a job
  • Want to learn how to prepare for, search for, and secure work
  • Need individualized support to succeed in the workplace
  • Have the legal right to work in Canada (e.g., Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with refugee status)

Additional eligibility criteria may apply based on service availability and funding.

EmploymentWorks is designed for Autistic and neurodivergent individuals who:

  • Are ready to work and want support finding a job
  • Benefit from individualized, one-to-one employment support
  • Can participate in regular check-ins with an EmploymentWorks facilitator for up to 12 months (Biweekly for 3 months, then monthly for 9 months)
  • Are open to participating in group-based learning sessions, as well as individual supports
  • Are willing to engage in job searching, job sampling, or work experience opportunities

EmploymentWorks is a good fit for people who are ready to work independently and want support finding a job.
