Transition to Post-secondary Education for Students Experiencing Disabilities

Are you a mature adult considering further education or is your high school teen thinking about attending college or university?
The Post-secondary Accessibility and Disability Resource Association of Alberta (PADRA) is hosting their annual information event where you will have the opportunity to obtain information about accessing academic accommodations in the post-secondary environment. Furthermore, you will have a chance to find out about various disability resources, financial supports, and academic accommodations available at the various post-secondary institutions in Alberta. There will be presentations, an interactive student panel, and a resource fair.
Present will be the Alberta University of the Arts, Ambrose University, Athabasca University, Bow Valley College, Mount Royal University, Old College, SAIT, St. Mary’s University, University of Calgary and community organizations that support students.

Even if you are considering attending a post-secondary outside of Alberta, this is a great event for exploring the range of accessibility and accommodations generally available throughout Canada. This event is for prospective students, parents, teachers, guidance counsellors, and anyone in a support role.
