The path to independence for young people living with autism can be a complex multi-year process that involves goal setting, developing experiences and having a strong support system in place when the inevitable bumps on the road occur. Whether a young person is in high school, or already has a part time job, having a team of experts alongside to provide insight, guidance, accountability and encouragement when things are going well, or during a challenge, can help move them more quickly towards their goals. The team also supports families to learn strategies to support the success of their emerging adult.
This program offers goal directed individualized support for up to one year, for individuals 15 and over who are on a path to independence including continued education, employment and/or living away from home in the future.
Features of the program include ongoing enrollment, individualized action plan development, 1:1 coaching sessions, workshops for participants and parents and café style meet ups. For more detail on program activities and fees, click here.
