In recognition of National Housing Day, this webinar will highlight lessons learned over the years by The Sinneave Family Foundation’s (Sinneave) housing team.

Sinneave has worked with autistic adults, families, affordable housing providers and support agencies to help many autistic adults find a home of their own. This presentation will share ideas that promote action to enhance housing opportunities and will be relevant for housing providers, support agencies, autistic/neurodivergent adults and their support networks.

About the Presenters

Carolyn has worked at Sinneave in research, policy and housing for many years. In her current role, she interviews autistic adults and their families on the process of finding housing, what works, and what doesn’t work. The knowledge gathered over many years and lessons learned will be beneficial to a wide audience.

John Seigner – Housing Specialist, The Sinneave Family Foundation
For over 10 years, John has helped many adults and their families find affordable and supported housing. John will share examples of the lessons learned through working with autistic adults, affordable housing providers, and support agencies.

Homecare Hub began in the Toronto area in 2015, in an attempt to meet a need for cost-effective and coordinated services for seniors. Branching out in scope, they recently introduced coordination of shared living services for adults with disabilities. Introducing an innovative new approach to independent living!

Join us for a presentation by Garden Loft founder John L. Brown as he walks us through the concept behind Garden Loft and how it can work for you.

While the initial concept rose from a need to provide a space for seniors to age-in-place, it quickly became clear that these unique pre-fabricated buildings could offer creative solutions to a variety of situations, like providing housing options for adults who want to live independently, but still require modest support. Garden Loft living affords adults with differing abilities to live on their own with as much independence as they can safely manage.

Enhancing the functionality of your existing home by providing the additional space you and your family need, the interiors can be easily adapted to new uses as your situation changes. They feature open plan spaces, lots of natural light, and comfortable finishes that look great and function efficiently. Add to that a garden setting right outside the front door and Garden Loft provides the perfect balance of convenience and privacy. Garden Lofts are prefabricated in Calgary and can be delivered to residential lots throughout Alberta.

For more information about Garden Loft, visit their website

RSVP above to receive the Zoom link for the presentation.
